A few years back, “Boston” Bob” and Piper Ellis had a dream of giving back to their community. Well, on April 27, 2019, that dream became a reality. Bob and Piper led 84 bikes that thundered 103 miles, from Boneyard Harley- Davidson in Winterville to Black Cat Harley-Davidson in Rocky Mount. Then “Reaper” from the Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association led the pack to Shelton’s Harley-Davidson in Goldsboro. As the riders pulled into Shelton’s Harley-Davidson, they were greeted by a live band and representatives from all four pregnancy centers who were serving food and drinks. All this was done to benefit the pregnancy centers of Pitt, Wilson, Nash and Wayne counties. The past few months, boxes were being filled at all the Harley-Davidson dealerships. Bob and Piper finished out the afternoon by calling off tons of raffle tickets and personally thanking everyone who came out today to help raise over $800 to support their cause.
As the Thunderbirds from a local airshow flew over, all the bikers started to head off into the sunset but not before helping this great cause. As for myself, I know, I was blessed to be a part of it and I can’t wait for next year.
